Spring Morning

Spring Morning
36 x 48
Acrylic on 3 inch gallery wrap canvas
This painting is an amalgamation of many things: Parts of trees from my ranch. A barn from Taos. Springtime flowers from the Cimarron Valley. Dreamy skies from some foggy morning. And a strong desire to make each element blend into a painting that conveys a peaceful mood.

The Silversmith

16 x 20
Acrylic on Canvas

The painting is done from a photo I took on location.  This was intended to be only a preliminary sketch, taking about 20 minutes.  The resulting painting is conforming what I believe to me my strong suit, the first strokes of paint are my most authentic, conveying something more raw and pure.
