The Western mile or so of the Oklahoma Panhandle has Pinon Pines, normally associated with New Mexico and Colorado. I take dead trees and split them for rustic frames.

Cottonwoods at Daybreak
Painted from a photo of cottonwoods in the 'mother ditch' irrigation canal in Taos, this painting emphasises the lighting at sunrise. 16 x 20, Acrylic on Canvas.
"Santa Fe Trail"
Painted on a rock found near the Santa Fe Trail on my property, this is my first sandstone painting.
